Services

In addition to the rooms, the strictly family-run business also offers breakfast with homemade cakes and jams. As well as snacks, lunches and dinners served on the premises, in a family environment, with home-made cold cuts and cheeses, fresh home-made pasta, fruit and vegetables from the garden, oil and balsamic vinegar produced by the owners.

Products

The following products are also available for sale: jams (peach, pear, apricot, cherry, plum), caramelised figs, the typical traditional "sapore" of Modena, goat cheese, salami, tigella (flat bread), friggione (typical dish of Bologna), oil and vinegar preserves, as well as farm-grown rabbit and poultry. All of this accompanied by typical doc wines of the Colli Bolognesi © (Pignoletto, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon and others) produced by selected local vineyards.

Our Activities

If our guests wish to do so, they can participate in the daily activities of country life. In fact, it is possible to help the owners take care of their small farm animals (hens, rabbits, pigeons, guinea fowl, etc.), milk the goats, make cheese, work in the garden and gather fruit in season, and make jam or "tigelle".
The facility also has a beautiful brazier for those wish to enjoy a barbecue, and which can also be prepared by the guests themselves on request.

In addition to offering traditional hikes (on foot or bike) our strategic location, in the centre of a Regional Park, allows you to visit many typical villages such as the Borgo Antico of Castello di Serravalle (only 2 km away), the Monteveglio abbey and fort (founded in the 5th century D.C. and restored in the year 1000 by Matilde di Canossa, only 5 km away, the Rocca di Vignola, the Castello di Bazzano, very easily and in a short amount of time, as well as many other period buildings and hamlets teeming in the area. Just a little further away (approx. 10 km.) is the beautiful and unique Sassi di Roccamalatina Regional Park (Guiglia-Modena).

For enthusiasts of good wine and good food in general, it is possible to visit the many vineyards in the area, the renowned cheese dairies and cold-meat producers, where it is possible to taste typical products. Every year an event-packed calendar is published for the area, for the period between May and November.
